Practice Dermatological Applications of a Dental Laser Device in a General Practice Dental clinicians often encounter small lesions on the lips and surrounding areas that raise the question: How far outside the oral cavity does the scope of dentistry extend? Recently, the Er,Cr:YSGG laser device has been granted clearance by the U.S. FDA for use in dermatological applications, which can expand its utility in a dental practice.
